The legendary British motoring TV show Top Gear was famous for asking the great questions that no one ever dared to ask... or more realistically, no one really cared to ask. In 2011 (Series 17) famous trio Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have challenged the unanswered question "how come the trains are so expensive"?
And not, they did not mean why the train tickets are expensive, rather why the railways spend millions of pounds on buying modern trains, while the same level of transportation services could be achieved much cheaper. And they have approached that problem with their usual flair - they try to build an economy train by buying an old car, attaching rail wheels to it and use camping caravans to transport passengers. Of course, there were some problems on the way...
Dont care what people say, those three can make anything seem interesting.
