Lovesick train attendant Rhona, eccentric and grief-stricken train driver Russell plus a conductor Jason, who is just tired of dealing with the passengers and the others - that is the crew of the commuter train you just got on. Each episode shows them dealing in their own ways with what life brings to them - from annoying passengers and potential VIPs, to the scorching heat and broken air condition.
The Train was a very short series produced in 2021, just 4 episodes were filmed, each showing a different season (at least as different as seasons are in the United Kingdom), each episode only about 8 to 10 minutes.
At the core, it is a simple comedy based around the three main characters and the regulars among their passengers, their personal problems and unusual situation taking place aboard the train. Of course, since episodes were so short and so few of them, there is not much depth to the characters, but somehow The Train actually worked as a decent piece of light entertainment.
